London Metals Ltd is an international trader in non-ferrous secondary metals for recycling and in ferro-alloys and inorganic chemicals, with head office based on London.
London Metals Ltd is committed to providing occupational health and safety which meets statutory and regulatory requirements.
London Metals Ltd has implemented an effective business management system to ensure proper communication, operational control, processes and procedures and health and safety requirements are incorporated into this management system.
London Metals Ltd aims to fulfil occupational health and safety policy obligations by:
- Leadership, commitment and support to ensure the effectiveness health and safety requirements
- Providing adequate control of the health and safety risks arising from our work activities
- Consulting with our employees on matters affecting their health and safety
- Providing adequate information, instruction and supervision for employees to enable them to perform their designated duties safely
- Ensuring all employees are competent to do their task, and to give them adequate training
- Complying with all applicable legal, regulatory and other compliance obligations
- Contribute to minimising the impact of climate change, where practicable
- Preventing accidents and cases of work-related ill health as far as is reasonably practicable
- Maintaining safe and healthy working conditions and workplace environment
- Providing and maintaining safe equipment
- Ensuring safe handling and use of substances
- Measuring and reviewing our health and safety performance and commitment to continual improvement through team participation, performance measurement, audit and review
- Reviewing this policy at regular intervals
- Communicating the health and safety policy to all internal staff and to third parties upon written request
